New to Mercedes Forum
I am giving serious consideration to purchasing an early '80s Mercedes 380 or 450SL. I don't know anything about the cars but I love the deseign! It is the car I dreamed of in High School, and now I'd love to have one to tool around in on Sundays. What scares me is the maintainence. I own 60s and 70s American cars and am familiar with old car problems. How much trouble am I getting in with a German sports car? Are there routine problems? I know it varies from car to car, but would a current owner or enthusiast give me some realistic facts? I appreciate any and all comments.
