I picked up a Polar White 97 S420 on auction 3 months ago with thoughts of reselling it. I got a great deal and could make some quick money even below blue book. Never having considered myself a car guyI always felt rather utilitarian about vehicles. At least that's the way I used to think.After drivingit homeI couldn't even bring myself to put a for sale sign in the window.I find myself looking for any little excuse to drive my ride, and then stopping and staring at it for a few seconds before I can even walk away, and when at home I find myself searching the internet for any and all info I can get on my particular model. My wife thinks thatI am losing it and is tired of hearing about "the Mercedes". I am hoping that there are like minded people here.


I now consider myself a very proud if not a little crazed, Mercedes owner.


I have been peeking in on this forumfor the last couple of weeks, and could not resist the temptation to join any longer. I look forward to sharing my new afinity with all of you.

I understand your sychosis. I just drove my 2005 CLK 55 AMG convertible home and have not stopped smiling since. Never cared much about cars but I never owned a true automobile until now. Probably won't stop smiling until first repair bill.
