While reading some of the posts, I just realized I'm supposed to introduce myself and the car....
I just bought, (have not picked up yet) a 1988 300ce in perfect shape with 72K miles. My first MB. I'm a reasonable mechanic, (electrical engineer by trade) and in the spring will have my own lift installed to make working on the cars a little easier. I own the following "projects" :

1966 mustang coupe
1962? Porsch 912
1962 Austin Princess Limosene

All which need some TLC.

I live in CT. And am also into renewable energy projects.....Solar and wind generators.

I bought the 300CE as a general commuter car......I need to drive something "different".....I just can't do the Honda Civic thing. My day job is a engineering lab manager for a company in Newtown CT so my commute is only about 30m round trip.

I'll be picking up the 300ce on Wed/Thurs this week so then the questions will start!

I hope to gain some knowledge about MB and soon be able to help answer some questions!
