Hi all,
Thought I'd introduce myself. Pablo, 43yo Architect, married with 2 kids, etc. I'm researching my [potential] next car. Looking at possibly a 1972 280se 4.5, short wheel base, hardtop, 4 door. I've always loved these cars.

I know they're somewhat rare and have an idea of their price range from searching ebay listings and google "for sale" listings. I'm looking for a daily driver condition car, not a show car.


My questions are:
1) This forum appears to be more of a newer model Merc forum. If this is the case, can some better site suggestions be made for the older mercs? I'd really appreciate it. This is the only forum I came across (so far).
2) If anyone knows, are those cars good daily drivers? Couple of the ads and such I've come across seem to suggest "summer" or "2nd" car...Wondering if it will be a good fit for me as a daily driver. I don't commute, and drive about 8-10k miles a year, mostly short local drives dropping off kids and such..

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.
