Default New Guy w/ 87' 560SL & 81 380SLC

Hi,
I just joined the group a few months back and have had a blast this summer with my 1987 560SL (105,000). It was essentially stored for quite some time prior to my purchase but seemed well maintained according to records. However, just recently took it on for an inspection and it failed. I noticed the steering was kind of sloppy (moving 3-4") and the technician determined it was a bad rag joint on the steering column itself. It looks like two riveted pieces. One rivet is tight, the other is quite worn and seems to be the cause of all this steering wheel play. Does anybody have any idea where to get this part and how difficult it is to fix? What should I be prepared for and is there other things to upgrade or look for while fixing this...

Thanks so much!
MetroMark

ps. I posted about an 81' 380SLC I thought was a great deal I found in a barn a while back too...No one responed so guess who bought it? :-) Me~
Havent got it to run yet...but havent really had a chance either...more later. Any good leads for books for working on these cars would be greatly appreciated.
