So first I want to say hi. My name is Bill from Edmonton Alberta Canada. I don't own a Mercedes yet but I am looking at buying a 2001 ML430 as an extra family car. I have two large trucks for hauling and such but nothing as a practical grocery getter, evening out vehicle or even running up to the mountains on the weekend for skiing and such. The one I'm looking at has about 180,000 Kms 110,000 miles. It is in decent shape, a few lights out and one broken rear coil spring. The guy wants $6500 for it. It seems to be nicely loaded with a sunroof and nav. It has the 4.3 ltr V8.

A few concerns I do have would be the fuel mileage. I have heard from 14 to 17 mpg in the city. 17 I can live with.... 14 I may be looking at something smaller. Other concerns I would have is just how problematic the vehicle can be. The mechanical stuff I have no issue with, it's the electrical I am concerned with.

Last thing is where would the cd changer be? It has NAV and an option for disc but behind the faceplate is only a cassette player. Who uses cassettes?
