Hello everyone!

I'm new to this board, hopefully I'll be around for awhile. Well the reason I am here is because I was seriously considering purchasing a MB. I am having a real bad toss up between 2000-2003 S430, S500 or 2003-2004 E320, E500....I have read many issues that the 2000-2004 S classes were having such as air suspension, electrical things ect ect....but not so much on the newer E-class, but I love the S class...and I will be selling my 7 series to purchase either one of these vehicles...but I'm also starting to really like the newer E classes (2003+) but I feel as tho I would be down grading in a sense since I'm coming from a 7 series which is bigger and more spacious to something smaller......please guys, help me with a few thoughts or pros and cons on both vehicles....it's a hard decision....only difference is about 2k or so between each vehicles.

E-class too many problems from the W220 s-class. If you want an s-class go with the older W140

 

I'm not too uptodate on the code names for MB yet, but I'll assume the W220 are the 2000-2005 model S classes and the W140 are the pre 2000 model S classes

I dont really like the older S-class models all too much, I'm thinking I might just be getting a E class after all, I was hoping that more members responded and gave me their thoughts, that would help out a bunch also

We are not a very large forum so it might take some time to get some more replies but also I would be willing to say that over all the cars MB makes historically the E-class has been there "Bread and butter" and they have always even it seems during to low quality years (00-04) that they dont have the problems of other models. Yea W220 S-class 2000-2006 W140 1992-1999. E-class W210 1996-2002, W211 2003-current

 

Stay with either 2003 S-Class or 2004 E-Class.
