Default New guy Florida

Just bought a 80 SD Turbo $1,200 under 190k miles. Florida sun has deteriorated most exterior rubber. Where can I get new rubber and someone to install around the front and rear glass in the Lakeland area? Also the a/c needs converting is this true?

Thank you appreciate the welcome. The site is so cool, drove big truck semis for years, bought a couple of diesel Benz's, OM617 turbos. There is so much to learn, some expert professional advice here, and there is some off the wall posts as well. Just gotta eat the meat and spit out the bones. That is again bro

OK guys I am in situation and need some help. I have a 85 300D turbo, I must change out both alternator belts. I don't have a repair manual or a computer, and honestly can't afford one for a few more months as me and my wife is disabled waiting for disability to come in. I have changed out many American alternators no problem, but never one with an adjuster. If someone would please take the time and tell me step by step how to do tjs job I would be forever grateful and indebited. I can't get you tube and my wife has a doctors appt with her Nero surgeon in a few days. Any and all help will be sincerely appreciated, andwill do my best to pay it forward when oopportunity presents itself.

Use the attached PDF for guidance.
I really appreciate the help, meant to get back to you sooner. Your help and intervention is never in vain. Probably would have broke something like an adjuster if it wasn't for you. Just thanks man, for your time and willingness it has made a difference in our struggles, by the way where did you find that in PDF? Is it cheaper than $30 Haynes from what many say are not complete?

I heard Haynes sucks when it comes to bigger auto repair jobs. Just not enough detailed information.

Also let me pick at your brain. Sunroof cable. How and where do I detach it. Got headliner out real easy. Found motor in trunk has 2 metal rods attached. The gear packed full of rust or metal particles to where the teeth warped. Rained other day taking wife to neurologist brain swollen, over a gallon of water in headliner above back seat. Stumped.
