I currently have a diesel Excursion due to kids and towing duty but my Grandfather owned M-B for 40+ years...(until my father talked him into a Lexus, which was his last car.)
He used to buy a new 500 every two years from a dealer in FL due to their Lemon Laws being better than here in WI.

So I've always had a fondness for them and recently a friend bought a Cherry SL600 for 14k which blew me away!
Now I'm looking for answers on the benefits of different models and what years are better than others. So I'll be lurking around and asking questions in the months to come.
Right now I have my heart set on an SL55 or SL65 AMG and hopefully I'll get lucky and find a low mileage '03-'07 already setup with Barbus or Renntech exhaust.
I can't believe the deals on these cars right now, the resale on them is terrible, which sure works out for me looking to buy a used one
