Purchased a new ML 300 Sport Blue Efficiency in March 2010. Can't believe MB are still having problems with "groaning and grinding" noise from steering. Especially noticeable when stationery and turning wheel slightly. This was a persistent problem on a couple of previous E200 models I owned. One was solved by lubricating steering column bushes and the subsequent one had the steering rack replaced. So really disappointed to find same old noise in brand new vehicle and really becoming more disappointed after four returns to dealer without solution. Just booked in for fifth visit. Any one else suffering?
Also, in last couple of weeks, car has developed hesitancy in acceleration.
Just reading other forums and postings, it would appear I'm not the only one. Thankfully, MB have three years of warranty to sort it - NOT - if this continues, the car will be long gone!
