A nice retired gentleman around the corner from my place was selling his 1991 190E 2.6. Black & Tan. 182,000 miles. Everything works. Beautiful interior. No cracks. Kentucky, USA driven from new to '98. Brought to Canada in '98. No winters since '99. Full set of winter tires balanced on rims with MB hub caps (unused). Excellent body. $4,500CDN. I couldn't say no. I bought it after walking by it for 4 weeks. I took it to Budd's in Oakville, ON for a major service. They told me it was in really nice shape. $1,450 later, I'm back on the road (cheap in my estimation). I have had it for a month and just drove it 2,800 miles from Niagara Falls, ON to Calgary, AB (relocation). I've never owned an MB before but once I ran the carbon out of this baby (some nice 160kph/100mph stretches on the Trans-Canada), got a couple tanks of 94 octane through it and adjusted to the MB suspension, I've decided that I will fix this car until I am worm food. The only other car I will ever buy is a 300TD Wagon for weekends.
