I totally agreeded with you. Sleeping on own heritage is bad in this fast and high speed technology world.

 

I just purchased a 1999 SL600. And I'm thinking of turning it around already because the shock absorber idiot light comes on every other drive. The Benz dealer reset some faults in the computer system, so now I'm worried that the problem keeps recurring. The car only has 16k miles on it, so I'm surprised that I'm already a guest of the Herr Panzer Service Dept.

Any help would be appreciated.

well ... i have a 1996 porsche 911 and is a great car .
second to none quality. i also like my mercedes-

to say a porsche is a crap is just ignorance or very very bad luck. no offense .
my mercedes C220 has a bunch of quality problems, small one, but i like it a lot anyway.

porsches are very solid and well made.
