I just purchased a 1984 Mercedes 500 SEC with AMG bodykit.

The car was imported into Canada from Japan. I paid $4000 CAD for it.

I do not know much about Mercedes, but I figured that was reasonable for the car.

It has 120,000 kms on the speedo. I am getting the car shipped within the next couple of days, I am just curious if anybody can provide me with some comments as I am totally new to Mercedes I have owned camaros all my life.

I have plans on customizing the car and saw alot of potential to it, and considered it rare compared to what else was available.

It is fully loaded with leather, air, sunroof, the works.

The only known problems with the car is a small crack in the dash, the heated seats don't work??? (I was told they were unplugged because it was hot in japan) Other than that it's pristine.

Did I pay a good price? Are there any known problems with this model? Let me know please, thanks!

 

For its time its pretty nice. You got a pretty good dealfor it. But, yea it looks nice, can you give me some engine specs.

 

I just purchased a 1984 500 SEC AMG, it has the AMG body, and engine, and suspension. I bought it for 1500 USD, and it has 150k KM on it.

The engine is a 5 liter v8 with 340 hp.
