Hello Guys,

I'm a newcomer to the forum, very interesting and useful for us the mercedes owners.

I'm living in Venezuela and I'm restoring my car (wish me luck); a 350SE (116.028) with a M117 (450) engine. Car's current color is Icon Gold, but I’m not sure if that was the original, as an old document says it was beige.

I know these codes came officially on the front plate near the radiator, but my car was assembled in Venezuela and has a different plate which for some reason does not includes that code.

The other plate on the left door went lost, but as I understand it wouldn’t be of help as the paint code wasn’t there.

Do you know any other way-source to know the factory original color of a w116?.
