Default Interior lights issues on 99 e320

I have a 99 e320 base and recently the interior lights stopped coming on at night when the unlock button on the remote is pressed. Also I noticed that when I locked the car with the remote the headlights do not blink to let me know that the alarm is set. When I unlock the car it will blink once. All of the lights inside will work when switched on manually. Does this sound like a PSE pump problem? Does someone have any ideas how to fix?

Smile Problem found & fixed

Sure enough the driver's side door contact switch was pushed in at an angle and the sides were broke. As soon as it was replaced all of the lights started working properly.

Thanks for your help!
