Hello everyone and thanks in advance for your ideas.
I was driving at highway speed and had a sudden failure, car lost power but could keep low speed after exiting as long as I didn't push hard on the gas or go over 2k rpm.
When parked, I can step up the idle but the bottom falls out and it will backfire or sputter. Feels like a starvation prob.
I replaced the MAP because it was a previous prob and read on an old post about fuel rail possibilities. I also checked secondary ignition to look for bad wires, but all good. All vacuum looked ok.
The car has 44k miles but does sit alot. I also replaced the fuel filter. Also there are no codes so I don't suspect electrical component failures.
Sound familiar to anyone? I hope so.....
