Please help! Have a '96 E Class 300D with a fuel leak coming from between the fuel shut off solenoid and the diesel injection pump. There appears to be only one bolt that fastens the solenoid to the injection pump. The bolt is removed, but the valve still seems to be fastened. It seem strange that this valve would only have one fastener. What am I missing? How does this come off? There is a plate below it with four bolts abs a gasket behind it but it seems unlikely that there is anything behind the plate associated with the valve, and worse, remove the plate and make more problems. The dealer is no help. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
