I've owned my 74 450 SEL for just over a year now and have enjoyed it emensely. We found the car on the side of the road posted for 600.00, it had been hit in the rear and needed a new tail light and deck lid and needed some serious body work, it started, drove good, ran okay so we got it for 400.00. About 2 months later, many hours pounding/bondo I managed to get the rough shape enough to put in a used tail light and get it inspected, some new tires and a much needed tune up (plugs/wires only) and it ran much better. I still have future plans to perfect the body work and paint someday, but Due to the high c ost of premium these day, I enjoy driving to work in it once every couple weeks. I look forward to learning much about this model and other S-class models as well.
