Default Hello

I just joined the forum and I am excited to be a member. I own a 1987 300D Turbo, my first Mercedes of what I hope to be many. The car was my fathers and he gave it to me. I was wondering if there is any way I can make it accelerate faster. It needs to be fairly inexpensive considering I currently go to college and my income is quite small. I hope to meet some great people.

One or two JATO rockets will wake it up.

You know, you have one of M-B's all-time classic bulletproof cars. You shouldn't mess with a good thing. Someone said that and I think it applies here. Just maintain it and it will carry you anywhere you want to go for many years to come. Maybe not really fast, but that's not the appeal for the late-80s M-B diesels.

BTW, welcome.

welcome to the forum.

diesel responds a little bit late compared to gasoline engine when it comes to acceleration.

defensive and safe driving must always be the first priority. it saves your engine life, as well as yours.
