Hi all. Newbie here. I am fixing a 1983 380SEC against my will. For some reason a car that with an IAC valve that costs $800 to purchase when it only cost $50 on my Chevy isn't on the top of my list of must haves.

I am trying to fix this vehicle for my elderly mother in law. Is a 380 SEC considered an "S" class? I am not sure which forum to post my question in.

I need troubleshooting details for the throttle position sensor (TPS) because the car won't accelerate above idle. The cable is fine but the engine speed won't change. Can you direct me to the correct forum or maybe provide this info?
