I changed the transmission on my e420....but I didn't change the module. The car did drive for a few days. But now it doesnt shift at all. the car is stuck on park gear. any suggestions???....

Change the module and see what happens? did you put enough fluid in the new tranny?

 

yes, i did change the fluid with mbz recommended tranny fluid. But I was told module needs programming as well. any suggestions....thanks for your reply

 

I'll bet you didn't have the module programmed? You might want to do that, especially if it is a part of the job? What year is you ride?

 

did you try using a pen to bypass the lock and see if it shift?

on the electronic selector lever, you will see a small square part that can move when you push. insert a pen through it, and shift it.
