Default Can I afford this?!

Hello all....newbie here.

OK, I'm sure you guys have heard this SO MANY TIMES....so dare I ask again.

I'm thinking about purchasing a 2006-07 or newer E-class...something around the $25k range.

The big question that I have is...CAN I AFFORD THIS CAR?!

The first time I ever spoke to a Benz salesperson was a week ago...he told me that the cpu will notify me every 10K miles for a 'Service A or B'...which is an oil change warning? He told me the prices were $299 & $399 respectively. Did he feed me a load of crappola, or what?!

I can understand paying for Synthetic oil upwards of $100. But, I cannot simply afford to pay out hundreds of dollars ever 10K miles. These cars are built well, yes?

Someone please educate me, or point me in the right direction(links). I have been spoiled for years by my Nissan/Toyota products....fairly low maintenance with several miles.

Thanks in advance.

Default service

find a good independent MB repair shop, and talk to them on what they are going to do for the money you are spending . and all should be go to go .
all our services start out @ $125.00 for oil, filter, all fluids filled , car checked over from front to back and labor
