Best way to buy a "young classic" in good shape?
Hi. I live in Los Angeles and have begun research into buying an older Mercedes because I just love the way they look and feel. I see a lot of older Benzes on Craigslist, but is that the best way to find an older MB?
I'm mostly interested in 380SL and 560SL (80s), and 190E and 300E (early 90s). I am looking for a reliable car I can drive daily. I don't have a long commute, driving maybe about 6K miles a year.
I would really be grateful if any of you MB aficionados with more experience than I have could give me some suggestions on WHERE to look and WHAT to look for.
Thanks. MJ
