Hi all. I am new to the Forum, and am hoping that someone might be able to suggest a good, honest, reasonble independent mechanic in the Chicago area. I am north of the city, just north of Evanston, near the lake, so north side or north shore would be perfect. Years ago I used a great shop in Highland Park called Erich's Automotive, however they are gone, and I think retired or just closed up. I have been taking my car to the MB dealer, however there are a couple of big-ticket items that need attention now, so I am hoping to save some cash by using an independent shop. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
