Good bay area Mercedes mechanics?
Hi All,
I was wondering if you knew any good san francisco bay area mercedes Mechanics? I recently purchased a 2001 CLK 430 that now has 110K miles on it, and need to get:
-B service
-New Spark Plugs (since it has 100K+ miles on it now)
-New Oxygen Sensors (since it has 100K+ miles on it now)
-Break lining wear light is on (so I assume it probably needs pads/rotors/etc)
I called up M Service in walnut creek, and they quoted me (including labor) $540 for the B service, $785 for the tune up (spark plugs), and $1180 for the 2 oxygen sensors, and said they couldn't quote for the brakes, since they would need to be inspected, which was fine. I went there previously, and they charged me an arm and a leg ($500) to inspect an engine noise, which turns out was normal anyways (it's my first mercedes).
I guess my question is....what's the best mechanic in the bay area to take your mercedes to, and what's a good price for the services I need performed? I'm pretty new to all of this, so any help would be appreciated...
Thanks!
