Hi I a 1986 300se just got it .Iam having a hard tome geting info on it. Iwas told it was a gray market car.Ive sent away info on this all in german.THE DASH everything the same way,IT has a inline 6 cyc/4 speed trans.Iam trying find out engine type,trans allso.

 

Gray market usually means the car is not Americanized, ie CAFE regs, crash test, etc. So it could look exactly the same, but it's not, at least by American law.

 

Thanks for looking into it. The engine code can be sent to MBUSA and they will tell you. There is a huge difference in the 560 series so i want to be sure what i am buying.
