Default 85 300SD owner - Hi to all!

I am the proud owner of a 1985 300SD with 199,000 miles on her. I love this car! What a great site - glad I found it! The reason I'm here is my wife recently hit a deer here in Durango, Colorado. Since then, my front tires have had a positive camber (tires wearing on outside edges) to them and, my front suspension has become very, very stiff. So, will be reading and looking for answers. Never had a problem with this ol girl and have done much routine maintenance to keep from having problems however, this front-end dilemna might be beyond my scope of knowledge. Can't find a place within 150 miles to even look at my car - have to go to a dealership. Not sure if it is safe to drive that far - haven't really driven it since the deer incident. Thanks for your time and I look forward to getting to know this site and the people better in the future.

Sleepwalker!
I think I'm going to like you! Actually, the thought had crossed my mind (after the mental images from the wreck ceased for a few minutes). It IS legal here to pick up road kill! This deer she hit came off the road in pieces though so,,, we passed on that one. The elk are starting to migrate though - now I'm really scared! [sm=yikesomg.gif]

elk is bigger than the deer, you are very lucky to live on such exciting place. so you also got one of those nice hunting rifle with scope on it?

any bent on steering linkage?

Sleepwalker;
Thank you for the diagram! Will be looking at steering linkage today (as soon as it warms up - currently 19 degrees F). Also, what would cause my hydraulics in front to stay high? Front end is hydarulic suspension is not adjusting when car is started or put in gear? Thanks again for your time?
