2002 mercedes 240c good deal?

Default 2002 mercedes 240c good deal?
I have a chance to buy a 2002 240c from a female neighbor who drives the car occasionally. It has 43,000 miles on it and is garage kept in very good condition. She wants 8,000 for it. IS THIS A GOOD DEAL?

real question is they r suppose to be the worst of the c-class engines, is it that they all r bad or just a percentage? www.repairpal.com scares me away from it but cant help but think its a deal, just gonna get it checked out with my mechanic before i buy.
