hi all
have been a member on this site before but couldnt log on so i had to register again.
i bought a 1998 c240 sport a couple of weeks ago and its been great to drive apart from a couple of days ago i drove about 80 miles up the m5 all fine but on the way back it wouldnt change past third in to forth i pulled over and swiched off and back on and it drove fine all the way back.
Then yesterday i drove about 60 miles on bendy A roads and it was fine until i got to this realy steep long hill. i was going up the hill but it was very slow evan with my foot right down. i made it about half way up and pulled in, i tried to pull away again and it wouldnt go it was like the cluch was slipping.
So i left it for about an hour and a half went to try again and it drove fine and got up the hill on the way home it wouldnt change from third to forth agian util i swiched off and back on then it drove fine all the way back. Is there any nice clever people on here that my know what this is and how to repair it? i have spent ages looking at old posts ect but cant find anything.
meny thanks!!
