03 e-500w
Hi
Mine is 2000 E320 has no Problem. But starting 2003, the first year Mercedes remodel E-Class is also the year of trouble. Please go to Google to search more reports about 2003 E-Models. I think that is the bad year of all E-Class including your so I can predict that your e-500w will suffer the same issue. Always the first year of remodel is a bad year. I never buy any car on the first year of remodel when a lot of new thing add on for testing. If it is no good, the manufacturer either eliminate it or modify it and sometime, it took few years before it became better but that is not always the same story. It may be worse may be better. From my experience of buying car for 20 years, I always wait for at least 4 to 5 years from the first year of remodel. Before buying my 2000 E320, I have to wait from 1996 thru 2000. the transition between 1999 to 2000 models is not a remodel. It is just a facial or cosmetic modification. Same design, same engine. I decide to get the 2000 E320 after so many year test drive, collect information. Do this way, I never has trouble of buying a wrong car with regret for 20 years. Just share with you my experience and Good Luck to you for a new car. Just be careful before decide to buy any model. Do a very detail inspection, study car's history and test drive with mechanic. You has money so don't hurry to get one until you are 100% sure with all information about the car you want.
