Default What do you think?

I just purchased a 2000 SLK230, sliver / red and black interior. $11,000 with 72,000 miles. Its a one owner and has had all its service at MB including oil changes. I love the look of these cars and from what I have seen look reliable.

Your thoughts please?

Hi, sounds a nice motor! I just bought a 200K here in the UK with 78k (miles) for £7.5k. Have you checked the cam magnet under the front plastic housing? They leak oil into the engine wiring loom with real problems. MB have a modification length of cable with an oil blocker inside. This plugs into the cam magnet between the existing cable and the magnet. If you have one, great. If not fit one asap, not expensive £20) and fit a new cam magnet too, very easy just three screws. This costs about £40 with screws & rubber "bung", which is where the oil leaks from into the wiring! Cheers. Owen.
