Under engine cover broke

Do I need the plastic piece that is under the engine in the front of my 1999 230SLK. It came down in the front (just behind the bumper) & I can't attach it back because the nuts in the frame are missing.Does anyone know how much a replacement part costs?

it's called a splash guard. you don't need it until you hit a puddle.

Thanks, will it hurt anything if I just remove it?

It might add some kilos to the car but my recommendation, if you can find, buy the steel version... Your grandchildren whem they will be driving the car will thank you for that...
