I have a 2000 slk 230 - just replaced battery and have code messgae on radio. need to plug in the code from the radio instruction book - probelm is I don't have one. Can someone send me the code from their book to try? thanks.

 

All original radios and their respective codes are linked to their car's VIN, specifically the serial number. You will need to contact the local dealer to get the correct code. If the dealers knows you, getting the number can probably be done over the telephone by giving the dealer your VIN. If the dealer doens't know you a trip to the dealer will be necessary. You will probably need to prove to the dealer that you own the car.
