Default SLK230 Kompressor out run by Geo Metro. Help!

I just posted this in the General tech area and then saw this SLK forum which is probably more suited (new guy here). Here's a link

https://mercedesforum.com/forum/general-tech-5/slk230-kompressor-out-run-geo-metro-help-43105/

Thanks

To start with, my 1998 goes 0 to 60 mph in under 6 seconds, and has blown away Corvettes from a dead stop, so you must certainly be in "limp home mode."

As far as the sticking top, it's a common problem. But reach into the hood hinge track on the left you'll find a wire and a loop with rubber padding. Pull it out between the bristles and leave it out. Give a tug before parking the car every time and your top will always drop. If this doesn't do it, try the pull wire under the plastic panel on the right side of the trunk. Same story.

Blown away corvettes? sorry but I find that one extremely hard to even remotely believe. Are you sure the Vette was racing?

Anyhow thanks for the tip on the roof but we just sold the car. It was such a pile and had so many problems it was just not worth messing with anymore.
