Had a little issue the other day after giving the car some heavy right foot from almost cold ( yes i know bad boy) - it redlined before change down but them sulked a bit - lost kick down and clonked when coming to a stop. Sounded like gearbox trying to changed down but not having it. Drove but very under powered and still a bit clonky when going from P to D etc - so did the ECM reset and its been fine since. Been "advised" the car slipped into limp mode as the harsh use when cold sent the ECU into a confused state. Basically though it was in the wrong gear hence ECU reset - now changes gear perfectly - smoothly - quietly and all power is returned.

No dash lights - no EML - But it does not have one so it wouldn't.

Is this even possible - hard to believe the car got confused
