rear wheel camber issue
R170. if you're tired of replacing your rear tires prematurely because of them wearing really bad on the inside edge. You might consider installing an adjustable camber kit. why they didn't have adjustments for camber in the first place is beyond me. As they get older the springs weaken and the camber gets worse. I decided to put camber kits in instead of springs. It's a fairly time consuming project. It took me about 6 hours to do the drivers side and about 4 to do the passenger side after practicing on the drivers side. aside from the kits #28840, you'll need some tools. a press which looks like a big c clamp, comes in a tool kit #40910 and purchased separately tools #75990 from Specialty Products Company. I used tools from the 40910 kit along with tools 75990 suggested to do a slk. One thing that made it more time consuming was that I had to remove the parking brake shoes in order to loosen the dust plate because of two arm bolts, one on each side, that would hit against it and not come out. loosen the parking brake cable above the driveline to remove shoes. You'll need to have it re-aligned after installation.
