? New SLK purchase
I'm new to this forum and am wondering if any of you SLK owners have any insight about reliability issues with the SLK. I'm particularly concerned about the cool but complicated collapsible hardtop and whether anyone with the current SLK or the previous version has any adverse experience with the top not closing, not opening or leaking.
I've compared the SLK to the new Corvette (very comparably priced) but found the Corvette a little low and difficult ingress/egress. I also looked at the Porsche Boxster but it still has issues with the quality of the interior and it's performance isn't quite up to the SLK. So, I've got a line on an SLK at $1,000 less than MSRP. I thought that was pretty good.
Any advice r.e. reliability or the competition from you SLK owners?

no known serious problem about the vario roof so far. except that's it's bulky when folded and can only afford 1 golf bag in the trunk.
