Hello, I have an opportunity to purchase a 2003 SLK32 AMG, 62K miles. This is either 2nd or 3rd owner and has no service records. Car looks to be well taken care of but thought I would ask here what I should be looking for. Any type of maintenance items I should be looking for or any known common defects or potential problems with this model? Also, they are asking $14500, Blue Book, Edmunds, and NADA all have this around $10k, is it cimmon to ask over these values?

 

Hello and welcome to the forum! The most important thing that you can do is to get a full PPI report by an independent MB mechanic. This report should give you all the info that you need to make your decision. I'd also suggest doing a google search for "mercedes slk common problems" - you'll likely find some good info.
