Default Need some advice on where to find a part

Hey again everyone. I am wondering if anyone can tell me where I might be able to find OEM door pillars that match my current 1998 C280 Sport edition. These pillars have a carbon fiber design on them. However, they have faded and are scratched, and seeing as how I just had the car totally stripped and repainted, I hate to have crappy looking door pillars. I have looked at some of the companies on this site, but haven't seen them. Hopefully someone will know where I can turn. Thanks.

Guess you are looking for something similar as pictured in this link:

... Maybe you can get some from MBenzNL... not sure, though. Guess he needs to order them himself, as I don't believe he carries those in stock.

greetingz,

Great site, too bad you have to use Mircosoft AIM software to get any info, I downloaded AIM once and it really hammed my computer to the point I had to reload the OS. But there seems to be a lot of great step by step information.

You may be able to get them from the dealership. I pulled them up in my EPC and the P/Ns are as follows.
202 690 41 87 (left front)
202 690 42 87 (right front)
202 690 43 86 (left rear)
202 690 44 87 (right rear)

Only problem is that they are probably a little over $70 a piece!
If you do order them, make sure you verify with the stealership that those are the correct numbers for the sport models, but they should be right.
