Hello. This is my story. I had an accident with my SLK200k 2001. I have completely damaged the rear side but front side and cabin are fine. No hits at all. After i towed it to my garage it used to start right away but now 2 days later when i went to my garage to turn it on it wont start. It is completely dead. Lights on dashboar wont pop up, sensors too. There is not even a single sound when i try to turn it on. Just head lights go on.I thought it must be the battery so i jump started it. Still nothing. I will take it to mechanics in few days but i am very curious to know why it wont go on. Please help. thanks

 

I have no first hand experience with your problem but it is possible that the accident damage has shorted out a number of fuses, relays, etc, that have killed the battery. With possible blown fuses the car will not start until the body work and electrical issues have been taken care of.

 

You did not state "which" rear side your damage occurred. This may be related to your problem.
