I couldn't find much repair history on the 230 SLK. I'm not familiar with the reliability of the SC 4cyl or any overall historical 'issues'. I'm moving from a Nissan 300Z conv with a very dependable V6. The SC 4cyl's give me chills but maybe it's not justified. Didn't want to inquire where I'd only get rosy responses. I'm also concerned about leaks from the top, since I believe this was one of the 1st models. Would really appreciate some current owner provided hard info, experience, and/or comments. Also found by comparison that private sellers want much more than 'book' value, even entering the winter months.
