low fuel light blinking

my gas light blinks you know the one for loe fuel but i have over half a tank if i turn the car off and then back on it goes away it has done this twice wondering if anyone has had this happen and if they know why

The sensor may have gone bad.

Check fuel cap seal. Info is in your GB manual
Normally new cap required.

Where is the sensor? Mine does this too after hard driving then idling at a light, (but only some of the time).
