The MAF sensor is on the other side. I think you're talking about the valve that switches between supercharged and regular intake. I modified an intake part from Advance that's supposed to fit a BMW.

Did you do anything about the whine? I tried a few ideas for a baffle but wasn't successful. I have since restored the original airbox until I think of a way to improve airflow without making it sound like a 747.

Daaaang dp...sorry to hear of your "time off". [sm=imsorry.gif] Do you have other prospects? Or was this a welcome outcome?

Very unwelcome. I couldn't find anything around here that paid even close to what I made at the former business, so I posted a resume on Monster.com and found a job for 10k more per year than I was making before. Downside is its in Illinois. No more curvy Kentucky roads.........all straight as a stick and corn fields as far as the eye can see. I start September 1.

Hmmm...well...at least you won't have to be living in your car [sm=badidea.gif] as some others not as fortunate have been forced to do here. Sometimes a change of scenery can be good.[sm=nerd.gif]

Right. I might get to try that anyway for a short while though.......We're having trouble selling our home and I start on Friday 9 hours away. The seats don't lay back very far in an SLK!!

Well, I feel your pain on the house selling issue. We have a house in FL we've had in escrow for 5 months now...2 mortgages and rent here in Vegas are just about killing us. The FL property is a $2000/mo drain. Then, to add insult to injury, we just found out the pool deck is 2.5' into the cities easement that just so happened wasn't divulged to us when we bought.[:@]

People who are dishonest for personal gain just **** me off! [sm=icon_flaming.gif][sm=icon_quiet.gif]
