hesitate at high speeds
I have a 99 slk that when I step on the gas at high speeds (ie doing 100kms at around 3000 rpms) i step on the gas and the car hesitates a bit sometime acts like it out of gas then kicks in. I use 94 Oct in Canada...it almost feels like the fuel pump or the filter may be clooged but the fuel fitler was changed last year..i put the car on my obd2 meter and no error code comes up any clues guys please write..

RE: hesitate at high speeds
my sl started doing that. at first, once in awhile, lets say going down road at 60 mph, go to pass a car, kick in the afterburners and she'd cutout for a sec. but not all the time. then over time she'd get harder to start once inawhile. then one day I went to accelerate quickly up asteep incline and it cutout really bad. As long as Ididn't put my foot into it she seemed ok. but within a matter of hours I was in big time trouble. of course I was 300 miles away from my favorite mercedes shop. I didn't make it and had to getcarried in. Turned out to be fuel pump. Get it pressure tested to be sure. No fun breaking down on a freeway at 10 at night. Thank God for cell phones.

RE: hesitate at high speeds
I'm thinking of doing something similar with 18 x 8s all around. I was concerned about rubbing, especially on the front. I've ordered some for my sl off ebay, eurotech wheels, item #350022245350 and I guess these will also work on the slk. I'll see how they look before I get another set. They look very much like yours as near asI can tell by your picture. I guess that indicates our good taste.btw yes, Bazzle I was posting you.
