hi i have a 1998 230 slk witch i am well pleased the prob is my fuel gauge it goes past the full mark and stops on the temp needle i have replaced the tank sender and the same prob still exists , when i had the sender out of the tank if i set it to half way the gauge would show half but as soon as it went back in the tank the prob returns please can any body help thanks

 

I'm not sure about this, but it sounds like it has more to do with the gauge than the sending unit.
