Having overcome the problem of the dislodged mirror glass on the the passenger door. (Which in the end required a replacement new glass part) I have now discovered that neither door mirrors respond using the mirror remote switch. No whurrring sound eminates from either door mirror housings ( Where I presume the motors are situated ) As neither mirror responds could this be down toa faulted remote switch or something else !!!

First thing is check the fuse, if they are good replace it anyway as they can be bad without showing any signs. If you still have a problem your switch may be bad.

When my good lady returns I will have a look in the Owners handbook to seek the location of the fuse you refer to. I seem to recall there is more than one fuse box on the SLK so I trust the handbook will have its location unless of course any viewing member can say exactly where to look for the fuse in question
