My SLK is my 3rd Mercedes. I previously owned a CLK and a CLK Cabriolet prior to my SLK230. The windshield cracked in 2 places on my SLK. I have never had a windshield break on any of my automobiles. Last month I replaced the windshield and paid out of pocket as my deductible is $500 for collision and comprehensive. Yesterday a rock hit my windshield - not very hard I might add and I have a dime size chip. Is there a default with the factory windshields?
