'99 slk230. blinkers come on but don't flash. they stay on solid. is there a flasher relay (like the old school GM vehicles)? If not, where should i look?

FYI:
I turned the ignition ON
Cycled the hazards 2 times
The blinkers and hazards began to work

This must have been because I changed the battery

I had the same issue with my 98 SLK230 and shortly thereafter had problems with stalling and starting the vehicle. All were connected to the K40 relay which I replaced. It's been a month without trouble. Something to keep in mind if you start to experience those problems.

 

I actually have now done this proceedure SLK Indicator lights staying on - Possible fix - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum and it worked great. I have replacement relay on its way and as soon as I get it replaced, I'll be golden. Thanks for the heads up.
