Hi there,

All three of my brake lights have stopped working this morning, on my 2001 SLK 200, which is a tad inconvenient to say the least ...

Before I go fumbling either for the manual or the number of the nearest Merc dealership can anyone suggest why all 3 would go at once? Are they allon the same fuse?

Manual/Auto gearbox? If auto can you get it out of Park.

Brake light switch is common as is power / fuse.

It's an auto and comes out of Park no prtoblem.

I played around with the fuses and everything seems to be okay now, soi it may just have been badly seated.
