Hi GUys just wondering have any of you come across this problem, I have a 1998 230K Automatic which won't change up from 1st gear wil go into reverse okay and drive right up to the red line but won't change up, have changed gearbox oil but no joy...! any suggestions Cheers

 

Does the SC still come in?
Is the maf OK?
Have you diss conn neg batt for 30 mins?

Just ideas

SC is working fine, no warning lights on dash either ! can drive along happly at 30mph in 1st @ 3500rpm but refuses to change up I emailed guy who had simular problem last year and he reckoned it was gear linkage, I don't even know where to start looking for them... depressed

 

What happens when you change gear manually?
Is there any oil around connector at bottom front of g/b?
